CNC Press Brake Forming & Plasma Cutting in Caldwell — Our Capabilities

By Redband Fabrication
CNC press brake forming high-strength steel plate with 150-ton precision at Redband Fabrication in Caldwell

We run a 150-ton CNC press brake and a 6×12 high-definition plasma table out of our shop in Caldwell. If you need heavy plate cut, pierced, or bent to spec — that's exactly what we do. Here's what our equipment can handle and what to expect when you send us work.

High-Definition Plasma Cutting

Our Kjellberg Smart Focus plasma table gives us a 6-foot by 12-foot cutting envelope. We pierce carbon steel up to 1 inch thick and run oxy-fuel on carbon steel up to 4 inches. The edge quality on HD plasma is near-machined — most parts come off the table ready to install with no secondary grinding.

We cut carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum. Tolerances on profile cuts hold at +/- 0.050 inches, and our bolt-hole patterns come in tighter than that.

CNC Press Brake Forming

Our 150-ton press brake runs a 10-foot bed with a multi-axis backgauge. We bend plate up to 1/2 inch thick across a 6-foot span and hold +/- 1 degree on every hit. That's the capacity that lets us handle structural brackets, reinforcement angles, and heavy mounting plates that smaller shops turn away.

  • 10-Foot Bed: Long plate, structural components, large-format brackets — no splitting jobs across multiple bends.
  • Multi-Axis Backgauge: Repeatable positioning on production runs. Send us 50 parts or 500 — every one comes off the brake the same.
  • +/- 1 Degree Accuracy: Your parts fit when they arrive. No rework, no shimming, no "close enough."

Send Us Your Files — We'll Handle the Rest

We accept DXF, DWG, and STEP files directly. Our nesting software reads your geometry and optimizes the cut path for minimal waste. You send us the digital model, we send you the physical part — matched to your spec.

If you don't have CAD files, we can work from sketches or existing parts. We've been doing this long enough to figure it out.

What We Cut and Form

Our shop runs a mix of work for agricultural operations, industrial manufacturers, and construction contractors across Canyon County. Typical jobs include:

  • Structural brackets, gussets, and mounting plates
  • Heavy-duty reinforcement angles for trailers and equipment
  • Tillage and implement components in AR400 and AR500
  • Machine frames, enclosures, and base plates
  • Custom one-off parts and production runs

Frequently Asked Questions

Q.

What is the maximum thickness Redband Fabrication's press brake can bend?

A.

Our 150-ton CNC press brake with a 10-foot bed bends steel up to 1/2 inch thick across a 6-foot span. We hold +/- 1 degree accuracy on those bends. If your part fits in that envelope, we can form it.

Q.

What file formats does Redband Fabrication accept for CNC cutting?

A.

We take DXF, DWG, and STEP files. Send us your files, we nest them in our software, and the part comes off the table matching your model — no translation errors, no back-and-forth.

Q.

How fast can Redband Fabrication turn around CNC plasma cutting jobs?

A.

Standard turnaround on cut-only jobs is 3-5 business days depending on queue and material availability. Rush jobs are possible — call us to discuss your timeline.
